LARKANA: The alleged torture of a student of Larkana Cadet College by some staff members caught the eye of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
The chief minister ordered the formation of an inquiry committee to investigate the matter, a local news channel reported. After the media advocacy, the authorities took the case up. Murad set up an inquiry committee for the arrest of those guilty of torturing the boy to make up for the parents’ sorrow and to provide justice to the victim.
As soon as the report aired on different television channels, Murad took notice of the incident, announcing that the government would pay the entire cost of the student’s treatment. The student – identified as Ahmad Hussain – had been allegedly tortured by the college staff, breaking his neck, forcing him to bed.
