ISLAMABAD: At least four people, including two Chinese engineers, were killed and four others injured when a scaffolding of Tarbela-IV project collapsed late Saturday night.
According to details, the workers were busy working on the project when a shuttering came down crashing, killing four on the spot and injuring four others.
The injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Tarbela for treatment and one of the injured was later shifted to Islamabad.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif conveyed his condolences to the families of the Chinese engineers who lost their lives, Radio Pakistan reported.
The prime minister directed the concerned authorities to make quick arrangements to send the bodies of the deceased engineers to their home country and ensure the well-being and safety of Chinese engineers working on the project.
